I can remember my first experience taking photos. I was in 9th grade and my dad had given me a point & shoot fujifilm digital camera. white petals had just fallen off of a tree in our yard and covered the driveway. there I was, shooting away.
it was from that point on that I couldn’t stop. looking back on those pictures now (I wish I still had them, but an unfortunate external hard drive crash killed them all), I know they were nothing spectacular, but it was what sparked the photo fire in my heart.
the past year has left me taking a lot of photos. some that I’ve wanted to take, others, well, that I had to take. it’s those latter photos that have discouraged me from taking the photos that I have wanted to take. that is precisely where this thing comes in to play.
I need to take more photos and this is where I will be putting them. they won’t all be ground breaking works of art, but maybe they’ll serve as daily inspiration and motivation. regardless of my intentions, enjoy!
p.s. let me give a little shout-out to my girl Alexandra Whitney Houston (ask about it). Your blog starting is infectious and I need to make use of that flickr account you gifted me. so, kudos!
